"Think you can't change the world? Too late, you already have. It was changed for the better the minute you were born. There are more people than you can imagine who will never be the same because they came in contact with you, if only for a fleeting moment." ~Gail Purcell

Some Sewing and Thank-yous

I got caught up on some of my sewing... these are blocks 6 and 7 from the Jelly Roll Sampler sew along.

The red and green one is my favorite so far, the other one..... I am not sure of yet!

I have purchased this book and I plan on making one of the mini quilts inside. Then I can join in on the fun at Cottage Charm Quilts. The mini quilts use charm packs and there are a couple that seem beginner friendly.I plan on looking through my stash tomorrow and finalizing my choice.

  1. I need to do the most recent block for the jelly roll quilt-along.......somehow it got put aside and if I don't do it right away, I seem to be in trouble. LOL I am also not thrilled with some of them, but I'll finish the project now...at least the blocks...not sure when they'll be made into a top.

  2. I also like the red and green block. Those fabrics/colors would make a great quilt. The GoD and DoG video is so true! That book looks like fun!

  4. Sheila, I love both of your blocks, and I really do like the second one. I love that little square in the middle with the star-burst thingy!

I've seen that God and Dog video before and I absolutely love it! And it is so true!!

I've been keeping an eye on that GO give away race over on Barb's blog. I was so hoping you'd win. But I'm sure there are other GO give aways out in blog land...you should Google that and see what comes up. Maybe you could enter some other contests?

    XOXO,

  6. Hi Sheila,

Thanks for the fun in the GO contest! Am glad we met through this since we both are cat & animal lovers....plus quilters.

Now, let's get back to sewing/quilting. Your blocks are great, and I really like the green and red one. The jelly roll sampler sew along sounds like great fun. Enjoy!

  7. Sorry you didn't win a GO. :( There are other giveawsys going on now too. I like your jelly roll blocks. I need to make the new one yet. I bought the Scribbles book too. I tried to resist, but I had to see what the buzz was about. Enjoyed the video. Hugs
