"Think you can't change the world? Too late, you already have. It was changed for the better the minute you were born. There are more people than you can imagine who will never be the same because they came in contact with you, if only for a fleeting moment." ~Gail Purcell

ZZzzzzz......

How much sleep do you get a night?  When I was younger, boy could I SLEEP! What I would have given to sleep late in the mornings! But with babies and all that goes along with them, if I wanted more sleep I had to go to bed earlier. There were nights I would go to bed at 9 just to get enough sleep.(and still feel tired)
Now that I am older and have only myself to worry about, I seem to be needing less and less sleep.I get up most mornings for work by 6:30 but I can't seem to fall asleep before midnight, or even later! That is only about 6 hours of sleep. Most days I feel fine although sometimes the circadian rhythm dips hit me about 2pm  and I feel SO drowsy!
I thought that as we get older we need less sleep, but I guess that is not really true. The Sleep Foundation recommends that adults get between 7-9 hours every night.

Looks like I have some catching up to do!

  1. I am finding that I don't sleep as well. I think maybe I just don't need as much as I used to. ♥

  3. I've had trouble sleeping lately. I wake up several times a night, which is unusual for me! Sometimes, I wonder if it is a side effect of a new medicine.

  4. Hi---I do need the 8-9 hours sleep and have to get an hour nap in the late afternoon or I am worthless in the evening and that is generally when I do my blogging---but I have Chronic fatigue so I feel like I am always tired!!!!
I have seen many times when I have slept 12 hours and still been tired--so now I just the 8 hours--that gives me a few more hours to get something done--and if I am going to be tired I might as well be doing something I enjoy while I am tired!!!!!
    Hugs, Di
