How much sleep do you get a night? When I was younger, boy could I SLEEP! What I would have given to sleep late in the mornings! But with babies and all that goes along with them, if I wanted more sleep I had to go to bed earlier. There were nights I would go to bed at 9 just to get enough sleep.(and still feel tired)
Now that I am older and have only myself to worry about, I seem to be needing less and less sleep.I get up most mornings for work by 6:30 but I can't seem to fall asleep before midnight, or even later! That is only about 6 hours of sleep. Most days I feel fine although sometimes the circadian rhythm dips hit me about 2pm and I feel SO drowsy!
I thought that as we get older we need less sleep, but I guess that is not really true. The Sleep Foundation recommends that adults get between 7-9 hours every night.
Looks like I have some catching up to do!

I am finding that I don't sleep as well. I think maybe I just don't need as much as I used to. ♥
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about that...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI've had trouble sleeping lately. I wake up several times a night, which is unusual for me! Sometimes, I wonder if it is a side effect of a new medicine.
ReplyDeleteHi---I do need the 8-9 hours sleep and have to get an hour nap in the late afternoon or I am worthless in the evening and that is generally when I do my blogging---but I have Chronic fatigue so I feel like I am always tired!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have seen many times when I have slept 12 hours and still been tired--so now I just the 8 hours--that gives me a few more hours to get something done--and if I am going to be tired I might as well be doing something I enjoy while I am tired!!!!!
