I think that you all know Harry, he welcomes you to my blog everyday! I adopted him from the animal shelter where my daughter works, she practically threw him in my arms to take him home!
Wild Harry on Scratch quilt
He can be a little crazy, opening bread packages, raiding the milk bone box, and opening brand new treat packages the minute I bring them home. He likes to chase the other cats and just be a little nutty. And while he doesn't like to be picked up, and I can only pet him on his head (not sure why, the vet isn't sure either) He is a VERY loving cat and loves to be with me as much as possible.
Hunter on Charity quilt
This is my boy Hunter. He was the first cat I adopted after my divorce (my ex was allergic so I never could have one). Adopting this sweet boy got me out of my blues and back on the track of life. He can be a little naughty but there is no way that I would trade him for the world. He loves to "knead" my hair when I am in bed, all the while drooling away with happiness. When I get up and look in the mirror I have this weird "teased" look with cat spit for hair gel. Very attractive!!
And even though these quilts are NOT done, I thought I would share these pictures with you. This is Georgie (he is my profile pic) and Ellie. They are litter mates, adopted from the shelter, rescued from an animal hoarder. They were both extremely sick when I took them in, very skinny, and had digestion issues. (I won't elaborate) It was quite a challenge to get them healthy but now look at how fluffy and sweet they both are! They have got the most beautiful personalities, so laid back and sweet. Unfortunately their hair is so long and so white that is it ALL over my house, clothes, books, furniture.....you name it! But I wouldn't change a thing.
Ellie (look at those eyes!)
Thank you for stopping by!Now you have gotten to know my kitties a little bit better. And you can see why I named my blog the way I did! I may have a lot of cat hair in my house, but I also have a lot of love.
Isn't that the way it is supposed to be??
What a joy to see the cats and the quilts!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to meet your kitties and your quilts!
ReplyDeleteI love your kitties on quilts, they are adorable. I can't believe that Harry raids the milk bone box. I thought that my girlfriend's cat Percy was the only, shall I say unusual cat, because he loves milk bones, especially the brown bacon flavoured ones. We call him the cog, half cat, half dog. He also loves people carb food like popcorn, rice, crackers, potatoes and bread.
ReplyDeleteAaahh, what would life be like without a crazy cat or two? In my house it's, Ted. Lovely to meet your furry ones and see your quilts too!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots with the cats and quilts. Adorable. Thanks for the heads up about Pets on Quilts Show hosted by SewCalGal -- I am going to link Dunder Dog to this site. :)

Thank you for introducing your kitties. The pictures show their individual personalities!!! They were all fortunate you were there to adopt them into your life.
ReplyDeleteFantastic cats!! You are so lucky! I am the one in my family that is allergic to cats! Every time I say I want to get a cat my family reminds me of that. I love cats and enjoy seeing other peoples cats - so thanks for sharing.♥

ReplyDeleteAmanda's cats actually beg like a dog when we are eating ...they were street cats for the first year before she adopted them.
Cute babies! I don't know what I'd do without mine... I know what you mean about the cat hair, I never put my vaccum away. I have a coffee mug that says "Everything taste better with cat hair in it." hehehe
ReplyDeleteOh so very cute four legged children and such beautiful quilts. Sorry about the X, but very happy you ended up with such beautiful furry kids!

How clever! Not only did you have quilts on pets, but you also had a quilt (block) on your kitty.
ReplyDeleteI love the square you have on top of Georgie! The prints you used with the fabulous red is brilliant! I cannot wait to see this one done!
ReplyDeleteYour cats and quilts are lovely! I had cats all my life until a few years ago when I started reacting to their hair. Now I have a dog and he wouldn't do well with a cat. I miss having them around.
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila, love your post. I need to be better at checking my gmail...I saw you post about me posting on Sew Cal Gals animal on quilt post - I missed out but enjoying all of the photos now. I love your cats they are sew adorable...what a generous lady you are to take these cats in from the shelter and make them better with LOVE and kindness, that's all cats need well of course the odd treat helps :) Give them a scratch under the chin for me.
