"Think you can't change the world? Too late, you already have. It was changed for the better the minute you were born. There are more people than you can imagine who will never be the same because they came in contact with you, if only for a fleeting moment." ~Gail Purcell

Wind Storm 2010

wOw! The Northeast/East Coast of the US sure has been hit this winter. We haven't had as much snow as some of the cities to the south (weird, I know! Global warming, anyone?) But we had a horrible wind/rain storm here Thursday and Friday! My power went out Thursday night at 11pm and only just came back on Saturday about noon.... luckily it wasn't too cold outside so we managed okay.

But look at some of these trees that were knocked down in the area...There were wind gusts reported over 70 MPH!! I am lucky to have power at all!

  1. WOW!! I hope you are doing O.K.!! ♥

  2. Man, you guys out on the east coast have been getting slammed this year. I feel bad for you.

  3. I am glad you are alright. I hope you didn't have damage to your home or yard. Oh MY!! No power=no quilting.

  4. In the summer we had a tree come down on our house during a windstorm. I am SO frightened now when there are high winds. I'm glad you are safe and that your power has been restored.

  5. Great to hear you have your power back ...crazy storms lately.

  6. Now that is some storm. I really like your quote from Rose Kennedy! Thanks!!
