Patchwork Penguin has drawn the number for our February UFO project,
and this is what I will be completing this month:
It is an almost complete table runner designed by Sandy Gervais with Objects of Desire fabric by Moda. Something I starting playing with before Christmas thinking it would be a gift, but never did finish. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
This is the table runner that I made for the Marie Peagler color of the month challenge. Its not quilted yet, but you can get the idea.... the bias for the tree gave me a headache! It was the first time I used it.
January's challenge was black and white......
February's will be pinks.... all different values and shades.....
Should be interesting trying to pick out a range for this design.... did find some pinks when I was sorting through my stash the other day. I really want to only use my stash for these projects since they are all "learning experiences" and may not come out as well as I had hoped. (cut off my points on those square in a square blocks....darn that bias edge!) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I am also working on my first calendar quilt. I just finished my January block. No theme to the fabrics, just scrappy scraps. I decided to use 2" squares instead of the traditional strips.(many came from my recent projects, so is a good reminder of working on those) So far so good! And with my other projects going on this month, I should have some more scraps for my February block.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Don't forget to check out the free BOM's on my sidebar for the February installments..... most will be posted by the 5th of this month. A big stash buster weekend sewing camp from Pat Sloan going on too.... check out the buttons.PS Thank you for all the birthday wishes and positive energy
