"Think you can't change the world? Too late, you already have. It was changed for the better the minute you were born. There are more people than you can imagine who will never be the same because they came in contact with you, if only for a fleeting moment." ~Gail Purcell

Christmas Mail

I have to add another reason to my list about why I am not a very good friend I don't like to send out Christmas cards!

I know.... (hanging head in shame)..... I should be happily writing out cards to all my dear friends right now.... but I am just not that into it..... it's a task I have never really enjoyed.

Having shared this dark secret about myself.... I can now share the great holiday mail I received today from my dear friends that DO like to send out Christmas cards!!

The first card on the left is from a friend of mine from elementary school!!! Yes, I am lucky! We lost touch for many years (again, MY fault, I told you about my friendship short-comings) and we have reconnected in the last couple of years. She sent me this card and a lovely inspirational note about taking pleasure in the simple things..... Made me smile!

The next card is from another long time friend, who I have never met face to face! We met years ago (almost 20!) online in a counted cross stitch group and I can't imagine not having her in my life. She was part of a wonderful group of ladies and we have all stayed close over the years. We email each other just about every day and share the ups and downs of our lives. Her baby is now in college and we all remember when she was pregnant with him!
This good friend also added to my Prairie Schooler Santa collection with the patterns you see next to her card.... she always tucks something special inside for me!

So that was my happy Christmas mail today!! And I must admit I felt a twinge of guilt that I haven't even started any of my cards yet.... never mind mailed them out. My friends will love me anyway, BUT.....

Do you think that Santa will put me on his naughty list?
