Couple of things that I am happy about this week.
I found out that my teaching job is secure for next year...... it is not my first choice of job, but for now it is much needed security. I am moving up to the High School; I have always worked in Middle School before so it will be a big change for me.
And, because of this great news, I decided it was time to........ Buy a New Car!! I will be saying goodbye to my wonderful Toyota Previa and hello to a Hyundai Santa Fe, in Blue! First new car in over 15 years, and my first non-Toyota car in over 25. But this car was recommended in Consumer Reports and Toyotas have been having issues..... I am actually donating my Previa to a local charity that fixes up cars to give to single moms to help them get jobs and get back on their feet. Didn't want it to just go for parts and it still has a good amount of life in it. I know the new family will love it.
So all this good news has helped my funk a bit.... although still no time to sew with all my other work to do.

ReplyDeleteA new car is great! I am sorry that you are moving to the high school, but like you say, it is a job! I teach 6th grade and absolutely love the middle school. I taught high school for only one year and it was definitely not my thing! Good Luck to you! I am glad that you have a job! Many are not so lucky!
